Sid Koop

Director and Founder of Truth Matters Ministries


Sid Koop is married to Jen and they have two very active boys, Payton and Cole  He has spent the last 11 years in full time youth ministry, his first 4 as a youth pastor in Canmore Alberta, and his last 7 as part time Director of Student Ministries at the E-Free Church of Lethbridge. Sid's primary ministry passion is helping students see the supremacy of Christ in every matter of life and faith, through His Word.  When he is not doing that in his local church setting, he is traveling across Canada speaking to students and youth leaders with Truth Matters Ministries.  In his off time, Sid tries to keep up with his wife’s passion for exercise, and doubles as a hockey coach, tackling dummy, and air-soft target for his boys.


Tim Houck
Communicator and Youth Ministry Coach for Truth Matters Ministries


After visions of a lucrative NBA career came to a screeching halt in grade 7, Tim came to know Christ as a teenager, and jumped into youth ministry with both feet.  Seventeen years in, his drive is to see teenagers and youth workers live a real faith in a real world through the life altering truth of Jesus Christ.  Tim serves as a communicator and youth ministry coach for Truth Matters ministries.  His biggest fans on and off the court are his wife Tracey, and three awesome kids, Carter, Amber, and Drew.  For fun he loves wrestling with his kids, hugging his wife, fishing, reading, basketball and of course, sleeping.

Danielle Koop

Accoutant for Truth Matters Ministries

Danielle is the newest member of Truth Matters Ministries.  She joined the team in November of 2008 and is passionate about supporting the work of Sid and Tim through administrative duties.  In her free time she loves to spend time with her husband.  Danielle also enjoys working with the youth kids at her local church and coaching the swim portion of the local YMCA Triathlon Club.
